Narantsatsral, a Mongolian national in her 40s, sustained severe injuries to her lower back and lower limbs in a traffic accident during high school, relying on crutches for 14 years. In 2014, Dr. Joon-shik Shin, the founder of Jaseng Hospital, treated her in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. After just 20 minutes of treatment, she was able to walk without crutches.
When her pain recurred recently, Jaseng Hospital covered her medical expenses and provided approximately two weeks of integrative Korean medicine treatment, including acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, Chuna manual therapy, and herbal medicine prescriptions. Dr. Sang-woon Lee, the attending physician, identified a recurrence of lumbar disc herniation and cervical disc issues through an MRI scan. The treatment plan focused on pain relief using Shinbaro pharmacopuncture, motion-style acupuncture, and Chuna therapy.

“I regained my daily life through the treatment 11 years ago, and this time, my neck and back pain have significantly improved,” Narantsatsral said, expressing her gratitude.
Dr. Jin-ho Lee, president of Jaseng Hospital, emphasized the hospital’s commitment to non-surgical care: “We will continue our medical support initiatives to bring hope to patients’ lives through non-surgical treatments.”
Guided by Dr. Shin’s philosophy of “compassionate care,” Jaseng Hospital has consistently supported underserved communities.
